Optional Extra Print Finishing

Canvas printing refers to the process of reproducing digital images, photographs, or artwork onto canvas fabric using a specialized printer. The canvas used is typically made of cotton or polyester and has a texture similar to that of traditional artist canvases.

Here’s an overview of the process:

  1. Preparation: The digital image or artwork is prepared for printing. This may involve adjusting colors, resolution, and size to ensure optimal reproduction on canvas.
  2. Printing: Specialized printers designed for canvas printing are used. These printers can handle the thickness and texture of canvas material. They use pigment-based inks that are fade-resistant and provide vibrant colors.
  3. Stretching: Once the image is printed, the canvas is stretched over a wooden frame, typically made of stretcher bars. This process involves stapling or stretching the canvas tightly to ensure a smooth and taut surface.
  4. Finishing: After stretching, the canvas print may be varnished or coated with protective finishes to enhance durability, UV resistance, and color vibrancy. This also gives the canvas a professional finish and protects it from dust and moisture.
